The venue is well located
Your work is on display at the only Artist Co-op in Mount Dora in a central downtown location, next door to the Mount Dora Center for the Arts, and on the Alley where each second Friday of each month an Art Walk is held. We are open for the fairs and events Artisans is open during all Mount Dora craft and art events. And more. It’s a big deal for us, and if you are a member, you, too. You get exposure Your products are on display for sale at our Artisans location. Samples are shown on our web site. We also show and promote Members’ works on Facebook and Instagram; and on our 1,200+ circulation newsletter. Some of our members also take out discounted newsletter ads, to give their works even more exposure. We also at times, conduct Exhibits at select venues in the area, giving your works even more exposure. You get discounts You can buy other members’ works at a discount. Do members purchase other members’ works? Yeah, they do. You get feedback Depending on your involvement and interests, your fellow members will share their own experiences with you; giving you valuable advice on your works and merchandising. There are two types of membership: Associate Members Associates pay a semi-annual rent and a commission on sales. You agree to staff the store two or three days a month plus one evening a month (when scheduled) on a published schedule. You agree to help in the operation of the enterprise by joining at least one active committee and participating in that committee’s work. To apply as an Associate, you should review the Application for Prospective Associate, below, which documents the application process, addresses most of questions you might have, and contains the application form itself. Consigning Members Consignors pay a different semi-annual rent and sales commission. But you don’t join any committees or staff the store.
