BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in rural Wyoming with no television for entertainment, Steve learned to occupy his free time with creations fashioned from whatever was on hand and the bounty of nature. He has brought this ingenuity to his work as an artist in stained glass and fused glass. Steve has been working with stained glass for over thirty years and frequently includes a variety of objects in his stained glass artwork. His pieces often surprise the viewer with their skillful incorporation of common objects such as stones, shells, or china. Steve recently began working with fused glass especially enjoying the freedom to create objects without the constraints associated with the stained glass medium. Steve especially enjoys creating individualized pieces that are designed specifically to communicate the concepts others would like to express, and these custom pieces for transoms, cabinets, room dividers and windows are scattered across central and southern Florida. |
